Nicole Obrigavitch is the Executive Director of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan, an organization dedicated to monitoring prison/jail conditions and supporting women in conflict with the justice system. An advocate for social justice, through her work, Nicole aims to address the root causes of addiction and crime through housing, education, reconciliation, social development, and community support. With degrees in Sociology and Law, Nicole's legal career was derailed by addiction, leading to disbarment and eventual conviction for drug trafficking, resulting in a 3-year prison sentence. Nicole openly shares her story to reduce barriers, help destigmatize addiction, raise awareness, and promote harm reduction, accessible treatment, and sober living options. Her sobriety date is September 27, 2018.
